| Space and safety for families |
 |
Oak Hill
is a great place for bringing up children. Within the campus there is
a high degree of safety with the absence of busy main roads. There is an excellent play area with a climbing frame. College families run a
baby-sitting circle, sharing duties with no financial cost.
Spouses of
staff and students have their own support group known as the Monday Fellowship.
This includes regular opportunity for Bible study, social evenings and
time for prayer.
We encourage
spouses to enter fully into college activities. All college lectures are
open for partners to attend, if there is space for them to do so. There is also a teaching programme which runs for college spouses on four Saturdays over the academic year.
Modules may either be audited
free of charge, or credited for half price. Crediting includes involvement
in seminars, having work marked, participation in tutorial time, taking
an examination and receiving transferable credits. |
