Practical apologetics

With Dan Strange

Wednesday-Friday, 14-16 July 2010

In our wildly multicultural society, how do we engage evangelistically with diverse British subcultures who really don't want to engage at all? How do we talk about Christianity without having to talk about Christianity? How are we to keep ourselves from the idols that litter our society?

Learning how to do cultural apologetics helps us understand how a cultures ticks, its issues with the Christian faith, its hopes and fears, and most importantly how the good news of Jesus Christ can both confront and appeal.

In this short course by Dan Strange, Lecturer in Culture, Religion and Public Theology at Oak Hill, we will be equipping ourselves with a number of practical theological tools to effectively engage the popular culture around us and speak hope into an often hopeless world.
