Pastors, purity and porn

The difficult conversation that every pastor is having with increasing frequency: how do we help people, usually men, who struggle with the easy availability of online pornography?
How do we preach, teach and pastor on this sensitive subject, in a way that enables people to obey Christ in their imagination, their marriages, their singleness? And how do we do it without hypocrisy, because the attraction of easy-access porn on our desktops puts sexual temptation before us on a daily basis.
Dr Richard Winter will be leading this half-day conference. He is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and currently works in the United States, where he is Professor of Practical Theology and Director of the Masters Program in Counselling at Covenant Theological Seminary, St Louis, Missouri.
Richard is the author of numerous books and articles, including Perfecting Ourselves to Death: the Pursuit of Excellence and the Perils of Perfectionism; Still Bored in a Culture of Entertainment: Rediscovering Passion and Wonder; and The Roots of Sorrow: Reflections on Depression and Hope.
