Dan Strange, who lectures in culture, religion and public theology at Oak Hill, talks about the meaning and value of apologetics. He says...

People don't want to talk about Jesus, they don't want to talk about religion. They're more worried about working through the week and getting tanked up at the weekend. How do we talk about the gospel to people who don't seem interested? How do we talk about Christianity without having to talk about Christianity? In the book of 1 Peter we're told to give a reason for the hope that we have. I think we can give a reason for the hope in all kinds of different ways. Intellectually, emotionally and socially... the gospel can answer people on all those levels. God's made us as whole people.
