| Certificate in Ministry |
 |
The development of practical skills for ministry is an integral part of our approach at Oak Hill. The Certificate in Ministry, which runs in parallel with the DipHE and BA(Hons) courses, will help you to develop your pastoral skills and to think through goals and strategies for ministry.
The Certificate includes training in the key areas of ministry including preaching, worship, mission, youth work, spirituality and Christian leadership.
Practical skills training takes place in the same semester as lectures on that subject occur. This page shows how the main components of the programme work together.
Into these main areas we encourage you to add your own contributions. As you reflect theologically, you will be able to place your own practical parish experiences within the framework of scripture and doctrine, from the Biblical Studies and Doctrine sections of the DipHE, and the world and its social context, from the various Church and World modules.
Situated in north London, we are able to offer a variety of different church placements and chaplaincies, on both weekly and block bases. Our wholehearted desire is that a clear biblical understanding will underpin everything that you do and are in practice. |
