| Theology and World Mission: programme tutors |
 |
Ray Porter is Director of World Mission Studies. Ray has been seconded from the Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) and we are very grateful to OMF for so generously enabling this to happen.
Ray was previously East Region Director with OMF International (UK). He has wide experience in cross-cultural ministry and was engaged in church ministry and church planting in Indonesia for 14 years. Ray is also a biblical scholar and has lectured in New Testament and Homiletics in the UK and East Asia.
Dan Strange will be leading several modules. Dan lectures in culture, religion and public theology. He believes that within our British evangelical context, Christian worldview thinking does not come naturally to us. However, there is a whole world to claim for Christ and that is tremendously exciting! He hopes that he can enthuse students to embrace this comprehensive and critical vision.
Major teaching input also comes from Oak Hill’s experienced faculty team. The college has a gifted staff team with wide experience from a variety of different church situations. They are experts in the fields of biblical, theological or pastoral studies. Each one is committed to teaching you how to understand and apply scripture in the context of the church and the world. You can read more about all the members of the faculty in the main college prospectus.
Ray will be bringing in experienced visiting lecturers in order to cover particular mission topics and situations. |
