Charles Anderson
Charles Anderson, BA, MDiv, PhD
New Testament, Biblical Hebrew

Charles remains struck by a lecturer's question from his own training: "Are we teaching you just theological truths, or how to think theologically?" Charles's passion is to help people see how the gospel frames and shapes all of life. In that vein, he recently co-edited Everyday Theology, which shows how we as Christians can interpret and respond to cultural texts and trends (such as Eminem or blogging).

After spending four years in university ministry in Hungary and the US, Charles trained at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he was also assistant to Professor DA Carson. Prior to coming to Oak Hill, he worked on a PhD in Cambridge and was involved there at Christ Church. Charles is managing editor for Themelios, a theological journal for students and pastors.

Charles and his wife Erin come from the United States and have two sons, Jack and Theo. Interests include running, playing bridge and supporting rather unsuccessful American sports teams such as the Kansas City Royals.
