Doctrine and Church History

Peter is excited about the challenge of helping students discover the treasures of Doctrine and Church History. He says, "My desire is to see theological training be rich and deep enough that it can sustain a lifetime of ministry. I'm keen to ensure that study of the church's past is done with full awareness of the world's present."

Alongside teaching at Oak Hill, Peter is curate at St Ann's, Tottenham. This inner city parish involves him regularly in the pastoral responsibilities and decisions which are commonplace in urban ministry.

Peter is the author of Plastic People, a study published earlier this year by the Latimer Press, which considers the implications of modern attitudes to gender. Peter has also seen several articles published, including The Embers of Preaching and the Flames of Piety. Peter's doctoral thesis was on the doctrinal beliefs which undergirded Augustine's preaching ministry.
