Jesus told his disciples, “the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few, therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest”. (Matt 9:37-38)
As it was then – so it is now! The tremendous gospel opportunities in and through the Church of England, alongside the present complexities and challenges raise all kinds of hopes and concerns, questions and even obstacles in the minds of many Bible-believing potential gospel ministers.
For the last 5 years we have been holding an annual Saturday morning conference specifically designed to explore, engage with, and address both the opportunities and the concerns and questions. It provides an excellent forum to think through and discuss them from both theological and practical viewpoints.
If you're considering gospel ministry in the Church of England and seeking to discern what God might be calling you to, come and join us for a morning to discuss these very questions:
We greatly need more gospel-hearted, bible-believing ministers but we also need ministers who have been well-trained, who understand and embrace the historic doctrine of the Church of England and who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in - might this be you?"
Rev’d Dr Mark Pickles
Director of Training, North West Gospel Partnership
The morning is now on Zoom only and will start at 10.00am, with attendees able to join from 9.45am onwards.
We'll have the opportunity to hear from:
We'll finish the morning with a time of Q&A and an opportunity to chat with some of the speakers and we'll finish at 1.30pm.
It will be an interactive morning with opportunity for discussion and to ask your questions. We’d love to help you as you discern the next step on the path God has for you.
Wednesday 26 January 10.00am: bookings closed.
Gospel-Driven Anglicanism is a book written by Mark Pickles which makes a personal plea to the next and current generations of church leaders to take a fresh look at the Church of England as an ideal church in which to do biblical ministry.

The event is incredibly informative, encouraging and challenging. It made me really excited about the potential of ordination."
