Word of God: New Testament (John's Gospel)

Spend a year in John’s Gospel, as we seek to integrate the theological disciplines, enrich our understanding of the text, and apply the insights we gain to pastoral situations.

The Church of England’s Ministry Council had this to say about our standard of biblical teaching in their most recent report (2016) on the College: ‘The standard of teaching in Biblical Studies and Biblical languages is exemplary, probably even world class.

If you’re participating as an attender, you’ll receive lecture input from a member of our experienced faculty, and take part in discussion (at the discretion of the lecturer). If you’re a creditor, you’ll engage more deeply and consolidate your learning by doing assessments.

Meet the tutor

David Shaw lectures in New Testament and Greek at Oak Hill College, and serves two days a week as the Theological Adviser of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches. His aim is to equip students to be carefully attentive to God’s word, and to apply it in faithful and adaptable ways to the life of the church and the world.
