A chapel service is the heart of our life together. Intentionally, it sits at the centre of each day and is a precious opportunity to turn to God in praise, prayer and to sit under his word. Faculty and students lead us in singing, prayer and preaching, and we also have regular opportunities to hear from visiting speakers.
There is a weekly rhythm to our meetings, reflecting the range of backgrounds and cultures in which students have been raised, and the variety of churches and contexts in which they will eventually serve.
From chapel we move through to lunch where we can continue to reflect together on the Lord and all that we have been learning. Here, as in classes, we want to cultivate a sense that conversation moves easily to prayer and praise. Some will gather in prayer triplets or with tutors, and there are frequent opportunities to continue to pray, including the weekly College prayer meeting and regular Global Focus lunches.
From my first month here it has been a privilege to be surrounded by brothers and sisters who are all seeking to know God more and working out how we can give him the glory."
