Revd Johnny Juckes, MA

President, Lecturer in Gospel-driven Leadership, Anglican Ministry

We are a praying community, where theological studies prompt daily delight in our triune God, expressed in hospitality to friend and neighbour, with the harvest field always in our sights."

After a degree in psychology at St Andrew’s University, Johnny served as a church apprentice in two contrasting contexts, before reading theology at Cambridge. His path then included a curacy at St Nicholas, Sevenoaks, followed by a job at the Proclamation Trust, another at St Helen’s Bishopsgate, and then just under 20 years as the incumbent at St Andrew’s, Kirk Ella.

During his time at St Andrew’s, Johnny served on the Oak Hill Council, and as a trustee of the Kingham Hill Trust. He also chaired the trust for seven years.

Says Johnny: ‘My theological college experience left me with a life-long determination to do better for the next generation. I teach Christian leadership. I am a wood-turner whenever I can carve out the time. My wife and I have five adult children, and four grandchildren.’
