Chris Ansberry, PhD

Lecturer in Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew, Director of Postgraduate Studies

Chris Ansberry received his PhD in Old Testament: Biblical Theology from Wheaton College, Illinois, an institution in which he taught for four years. He is the author of Be Wise, My Son, and Make My Heart Glad: An Exploration of the Courtly Nature of the Book of Proverbs (Walter de Gruyter). He also co-edited Evangelical Faith and the Challenge of Historical Criticism and contributed to the NIV Study Bible.

Chris’s desire is that his students will recognise the Old Testament’s abiding witness to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, relish its distinctive testimony and be transformed by its theological vision.

Chris is married to Carolyn and has four children. He enjoys the arts, a good novel, golf, collegiate sports, cooking, and bear hunts with his kids.
