Postgraduate Certificate Theology

Structure and modules

Our newly revalidated postgraduate programmes offer a broader range of option modules, especially in the areas of doctrine, church history and practical ministry, along with modules which are designed to integrate theological disciplines.

Structure

Requirements

You must take all of:

  • One compulsory module: BD6.4 Hermeneutics, Epistemology & the Knowledge of God (30 credits)
  • One option module at 6.* (Specialist Master's) Level (30 credits)‍

Students are expected but not formally required to attend the Postgraduate Research Seminars (non-credit bearing) which normally take place monthly on a weekday evening: the details will be announced at the start of the academic year

Please note

Option modules are offered subject to viability (based on class size) and the College reserves the right to withdraw an option module if there is insufficient interest; not all option modules are offered every year.

Modules

These are the modules running in 2023/24.  This is a provisional list and is subject to change (option modules and tutors). For a full list of the option modules which are potentially available in any given year, please see the Programme Specification.
