Covid-19 update from the College Leadership Team

So much has changed in such a short time, while so much that is ultimately important remains the same. The Leadership Team explains how Oak Hill has responded positively to the challenges.

‍We are following government guidelines, to protect the vulnerable and delay the spread of the virus, and many staff are working from home.

During the last week we have witnessed astonishing flexibility, ingenuity and creativity across the teams, with the result that we have kept disruption to a minimum. Our admissions, marketing, events, finance, academic administration and other core teams are still operating and we are doing our best to ensure your interactions with Oak Hill College will not be greatly affected.

Our teaching and learning for students is now fully online and we are working to maintain the overall student experience through online chapel services, fellowship groups, tutorials and socials. This creates both opportunities and challenges, so please pray for staff and students as we adapt. Our campus remains open to support our students and families, with essential services being maintained.

For most of our students and many of our staff, the college is their home, and we thank God for such a beautiful and spacious location, and the extensive grounds are already proving hugely beneficial. The closure of schools will increase the complexities for both staff and students. As far as possible we are retaining the regular timetable and structures, with flexible access as necessary.

Please pray with us and for us, and for all the churches represented among us, as we serve together and reach out to others and respond to daily changes. Thank God for the incredible progress over recent days as we have adapted our operations, and pray for students and staff as we now adjust to new ways of working. Please continue to support Oak Hill and encourage those looking to study at Oak Hill to be in touch as normal.

Rev'd Johnny Juckes (College President)
Dr Daniel Strange (College Director)
Dr Brad Bitner (Acting Academic Dean)
Grant Farrant (Director of Operations and Finance)
