Serving the Churches

Oak Hill serves churches by preparing men and women for a lifetime of ministry and mission leadership in Britain and around the world. Our partnership with churches includes student placements and ministry experiences, and we also offer resources such as our free magazine, Commentary, as well as events such as our School of Theology, which are designed to encourage local pastors and teachers in their ministry.

If you would like to help support the work of College by giving financially, please visit our giving page.

We value the partnership we have with many churches around the UK, who welcome teams of Oak Hill students to share in mission weekends with them.

We’re grateful for the number of churches and ministries which receive Oak Hill students on placement, whether it’s for a year-long church placement, or a shorter and more intensive block placement. Placements enable students to contribute to the life of God’s people, develop their gifts, apply what they are learning, and reflect on how God is working in their life and ministry.

Commentary is the twice-yearly magazine of Oak Hill, available to read for free, which explores a wide range of theological, ethical and cultural issues in the light of biblical teaching. If you’d like to receive Commentary by mail, together with our newsletter, please join our mailing list. Follow the link below to read the latest edition online, and to explore our archive of back issues.

We run day events and conferences throughout the year, including regular Open Mornings at Oak Hill, one-day events such as ‘Why get ordained in the Church of England?’ as well as our School of Theology.
