Oak Hill houses one of the finest theological libraries in the south-east. It provides historical material and a wide range of contemporary resources from a variety of different traditions to support the teaching and research of members of the college. Unfortunately we are not able to carry out research for non-members of the college.
The library provides space for quiet study, fully computerised search facilities, and a self-service issue and return system. It contains over 55,000 items in stock, including multimedia items on DVD. New stock is added to the library each month, to ensure that the resources remain relevant to contemporary needs.
The library is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to members of the college community. Former Oak Hill students can join for an annual payment of £30 and visitors for an annual payment of £60 (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri only). Day visitors are allowed access to reference facilities for a daily charge of £5 (£3 for Old Oaks) if space permits. We require new day visitors to make an appointment prior to their first visit.
Access to the catalogue on HeritageCirqa is available offsite as well as onsite via the VLE. Registered members can log in with their user name and PIN to renew books. Other interested people can view the catalogue via the enquiry interface.
The library subscribes to approximately 100 print journals but the majority of our subscriptions are electronic. Please note that for subscription reasons, access to electronic journals is only available to registered members of the library.
