Programme module

This module offers an in-depth study of Acts. By approaching the text from a number of interpretive and disciplinary angles, the module aims to help students use Acts in both theological reflection and pastoral care. The module explores the book’s place within the wider scriptural canon and its significance for Christian theology with an eye to furthering students’ awareness of their place in the geography and history of the people of God and the church today. Specific topics covered will include: salvation and eschatology; Christology; mission and witness; the work of the Holy Spirit; Jews and Gentiles in the plan of God; the doctrine of the Church, and much more.
