Oak Hill is eager to resource church leaders and church members, convinced that careful theological reflection supports the worship and ministry of the church. On this page you will discover a whole range of offerings. You can read a blog post or find out about our Podcast or Primer publication. And you can learn about and sign up for our regular events like Equip and our annual School of Theology.
There are opportunities here to spend a few minutes or a few hours digging a little deeper into theology and its significance for ministry.
Join Tim Ward and Eric Ortlund for monthly conversations about theology and ministry. Available now on Youtube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music & Audible.
Primer is a resource co-published by Oak Hill and FIEC (Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches) designed to equip and sustain church leaders in theological reflection. Every issue provides an 80-page overview of one topic, covering contemporary debates, historical perspectives and pastoral implications. Primer was produced as a printed publication every six months from 2015 to 2021, but is no longer in print. All 12 issues are now available to download for free.

We’re delighted to say that, from September 2025, Church of England Ordinands will also be able to train part-time at Oak Hill allowing them to continue to live where they are and be part of their current community, alongside studying with other men and women at Oak Hill.
There are a number of excellent places where people can train and people sometimes ask us what the most important things to look out for are when thinking about a theological college. Here are our thoughts of 3 things to consider when choosing a theological college.
