What you'll learn

Join Rob Scott to study Islam in our 1 week Summer Intensive.

Islam course aims to enable students to explore the theological and practical dynamics raised by Christian-Muslim encounter. To set the key themes of theology and praxis for Christian-Muslim encounter in an historical context. To theologically resource creative and practical encounters between Christians and Muslims that span a breadth of mission and ministry models of the Church.

This summer intensive will include:

- Introduce students to the main teachings of Islam

- Provide students with tools for continuing and deepening their knowledge of Islam

- Evaluate Islamic beliefs in the light of biblical revelation and historical evidence

- Understand differing Christian approaches to Islam and their respective merits

- Lead to understanding of points of contact for Gospel presentation

- Enable students (and those they teach in future) to present the Gospel to Muslim people.

As a non-accredited short course module, there are no assessments.

Students are expected to attend all classes.

This course can only be taken in person, accommodation at Oak Hill is available when booking

Key Dates

Monday 13 July - Friday 17 July  - 9.55am-4.50pm

4 days of 6 lectures per day (Mon-Thurs) plus a Friday visit to East London Mosque and lunch/discussion afterwards.

Cost

£350

Oak Hill alumni get one free short course per year.

You can book accommodation and lunch at an additional cost.

Cancellation Policy

  • 90% refund for cancellations 14+ days in advance.

  • 50% refund for cancellations 7–14 days before the event.

  • No refund for cancellations less than 7 days before or on the day of the event.
