Undergraduate study in Theology, Ministry and Mission

Our core undergraduate programmes give you a broad and deep understanding of Christian theology applied for ministry and mission.

Each of our courses can be taken either full-time or part-time.

All programmes are validated by Durham University as part of the Common Awards Scheme.

How it works

Undergraduate qualifications can offer flexible pathways to a full degree.

A CertHE (Certificate of Higher Education) is typically equivalent to the first year of a bachelor's degree, while a DipHE (Diploma of Higher Education) represents the first two years. These qualifications can all be taken as standalone courses or used as stepping stones towards a BA Hons (Bachelor of Arts with Honours) degree, which is a complete undergraduate program.

Successfully completing a CertHE or DipHE earns you credits that count towards a BA (Hons), meaning you progress through the levels rather than starting each course from scratch. While you can build your qualifications incrementally, many students choose to enroll directly in a full BA (Hons) program.

CertHE (120 credits)
1-2 years
DipHE (240 credits)
2-4 years
BA Hons (360 credits)
3-6 years

I haven’t had a boring lecture yet! The lecturers love God deeply, and you can tell it shapes everything they teach.
