Applications close 12 noon 15th January 2027

Join our Director of Student Pastoral Care, Andrew Nicholls to read ‘Mental Health and Your Church’ by Helen Thorne and Dr Steve Midgley in a guided book club.

1 in 8 men and 1 in 4 women in the UK will have experienced a common mental health problem in the last week. Resources to help in the NHS are stretched, and even the best of them typically ignore our relationship with God completely. This book equips the church to understand, connect with and care for those experiencing mental health challenges, giving us a vision for 'soul-care' that only God's church can do.

Each week we will read just 2-3 chapters and bring our questions and comments to a 90 minute discussion with Q&A.

Participants need to have access to a copy of the book before the first meeting.
