Join Old Testament lecturer Revd Dr Thomas Renz for a 5 week overview of the book of Zephaniah. Recent global-political and environmental changes as well as technological developments give many today a sense of approaching the end of the world as we know it. Zephaniah announces the end of the first empire humanity had known with profound changes to the world known by the people of God and so can provide a pastoral resource for those anticipating major changes. It is well worth getting to know its three chapters which suggest what went wrong, indicate how God's people should respond, and anchor hope in God's promises. Thomas is the author of the commentary on Nahum, Habakkuk and Zephaniah in the New International Commentary on the Old Testament (Nicot) Series.
