Open Mornings

Admissions for September 2021 entry, for full and part time study, are now open!  If you’re thinking about training from September 2021 or beyond, we’d love to welcome you to one of our Open Mornings to find out more.

The dates for our 2020/21 Open Mornings are as follows:

Saturday 5 December 2020
Saturday 13 February 2021
Saturday 24 April 2021

Our December Open Morning will be live on Zoom; we will confirm nearer the time of the February and April Open Mornings whether they will be live on Zoom, or run as a combination of in-person/via Zoom attendance.

Why come to an Open Morning?

Are you thinking about theological training, or asking whether theological training is the right next step for you?  Are you weighing up full time or part time training?  Are you thinking about training as either an ordinand or an independent student?  Are you thinking about ministry as a pastor teacher, youth, children’s and family minister, evangelist or cross-cultural worker?  Are you wondering what sort of theological training is needed for ministry?

If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then coming to an Oak Hill Open Morning would be a great next step for you and it will give you the opportunity to find out first-hand about the training we offer and what life at Oak Hill is like.

What happens at an Open Morning?

We’ll look at what ministry needs and you’ll hear about our ethos and programmes and get a feel for how our community life and learning fit together.  There'll be opportunity to hear from faculty and students and to ask your questions, as well as chance to chat informally.  We'll take time for a short devotion together.  And you'll also be able to talk with a member of the Admissions team about your own situation.  The morning runs from 9.45am to approximately 1.00pm.

Book your place here:

For our December Open Morning, bookings are open until 9am on Saturday 5 December.

The Open Morning gave me a tangible experience. If you are unsure about theological education, coming to an Open Morning or Oak Hill, I would recommend coming. It’s not until you see the place, until you feel the place that you have an informed appreciation for what the place is like.”
